There are bus stops in Millenium Way, F and G which are only in use when Greenwich Bus station is closed. I would like to know how many times North Greenwich Bus station has been closed in the past 10 years and what the average length of closure has been.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 10 June 2021 asking for information about Greenwich bus station. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked: There are bus stops in Millenium Way, F and G which are only in use when Greenwich Bus station is closed. I would like to know how many times North Greenwich Bus station has been closed in the past 10 years and what the average length of closure has been.
Bus stops F and G on Millennium Way are normally only used for emergency purposes because of the importance of this keeping this bus-tube hub available for as long as possible. They serve as an important continuity function in that area.
Planned closures for maintenance purposes tend to be arranged for overnight closures 22:00 till 05:00 to minimise disruption to customers. A list of the planned closures / partial closures over the last ten years is as follows:
3/9/10 – 10:30 to 13:45
25/2/13 – 09:30 to 16:30
26/2/13 – 09:30 to 16:30
10/5/13 – 09:30 to 16:00
3/8/13 - 4 weeks continuous closure for resurfacing
29/2/16 to 1/3/16 – 23:00 to 05:00
20/7/16 to 21/7/16 – 18:00 to 05:00
23/8/18 - 00:00 to 05:00
29/5/19 to 30/5/19 – 23:00 to 03:00
13/12/20 to 14/12/20 – 22:00 to 05:00
19/3/21 to 26/3/21 – 22:00 to 05:00 closure for resurfacing
Also attached is a list of emergency closures which were necessary for a variety of reasons.
