You asked

Follow-on from FOI-0137-1920: Are you able to tell me on what grounds the Floradix ad was banned? And the name of the Floradix advertising campaign?

We answered

Our Ref:         FOI-0484-1920

Thank you for your request received on 15 May 2019 asking for further information about exceptions received by TfL since the policy restricting advertisements featuring food and drink products high in fat, sugar or salt (HFSS) came into force.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.

Floradix is not banned from advertising on our network, nor was a Floradix advert banned from appearing on our network. Floradix Liquid Iron Formula product was deemed as high in fat, salt or sugar by the Nutrient Profiling Model, which meant that it required an exception. Floradix applied for this exception, which was then granted. Floradix advertisements are currently appearing in our stations now. The name of the campaign is ‘Floradix’.

If this is not the information you are looking for please feel free to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
