Our Ref: FOI-0483-2425
Thank you for your request received on 12 May 2024 asking for information about bus safety.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. You asked:

Our understanding is that this is referring to the Bus Safety Innovation Challenge 2019 project with Humanising Autonomy. Unfortunately this project was severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and was ultimately halted early. We do not hold this information as no report was created.
Similarly please could you release the report into the outcome/findings of the “pedestrian & cyclist detection and driver alert system” that was announced in the same press release? (The release says it was trialled by Stagecoach).
We believe this related to the same Challenge referred to above, but a project with Fusion Processing. Again, as with the above, this project was severely impacted by the pandemic and was discontinued. We do not hold this information as no report was created.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal. Yours sincerely
