Follow on from 0308-1920 - Would it be possible then to have just the specifications for access chambers, covers and retention sockets?

Thank you for your revised request received on 15 May 2019, asking for the specifications for access chambers, covers and retention sockets.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

We have multiple contracts with multiple specifications. The majority of access chambers, covers and retention sockets fall under the London Highways Alliance contracts, and the specification is in the Standards for Highway Works, available at  http://www.standardsforhighways.co.uk/ha/standards/mchw/vol1/pdfs/series_0500.pdf

• Chambers – Please see clause 507

   

• Chamber covers – Please see sub-clause 507.1

   

• Retention sockets – it’s specified on a case by case basis depending on what is to be retained and in what substructure, but it follows the principles established in sub-clause 1302.1 http://www.standardsforhighways.co.uk/ha/standards/mchw/vol1/pdfs/series_1300.pdf
