A company called Draka, on their website state that a cable called Draka FTL-Sifer is approved for use by London Underground Can you please advise whether this cable is approved by London Underground and other Tfl companies for use on centrally fed emergency lighting systems on stations and other infrastructure.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.  You asked:

A company called Draka, on their website state that a cable called Draka FTL-Sifer is approved for use by London Underground. Can you please advise whether this cable is approved by London Underground and other Tfl companies for use on centrally fed emergency lighting systems on stations and other infrastructure.

There is no generic approval for the product you mentioned.

TfL no longer maintains an Approved Product Register and requires suppliers to ensure the products they use meet both; national and TfL/LU standards as required.
