We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-0465-2223

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26th May 2022 asking for traffic data from locations in Lambeth.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

Please can you provide me the traffic data. Here’s the details of the date and location for this project below:

Dates: 8th March to 12th December 2021
Locations: Brixton Road (LBL) and Mitcham Lane (LBL) (I believe there is no traffic counter on Mitcham Lane?)”.

I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

Data for the entire period requested for Brixton Road (ATC280) is provided in the attached spreadsheet. The data extracted is in daily format by direction - if a further breakdown is required (i.e. hourly), then please let us know and we can extract that format for you. We do not have a counter located on Mitcham Lane and therefore do not hold a dataset for this location.

Please note that the dataset has been extracted via our patched system, meaning that any gaps in the data (caused by counter malfunction or damage, for example)  have been populated with a substitution value based on historic data. This is clearly identified within the dataset under the column entitled “patched” (if a cell within this column has a number within it then it has been populated with a substitution value). The counter was offline from 02/12/2021 so these dates will be using patched data.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely,
