Freedom of Information request - Spend data from Dec 2017 to present
Request ID: FOI-0463-1819
Date published: 24 May 2018
You asked
Dear Transport for London,
Thank you for publishing your spend data here: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/expenditure-over-250. However, I notice that you haven't published any spending data since December 2017.
I'd like to make a request under the Freedom of Information act for all transactions over £250 from December 2017 to a month in arrears from the date at which you publish in response to this FOI request. Please provide the data in a machine readable format (preferably csv). As a minimum, please make sure to include the date, value and recipient of each transaction. Please also provide details on the procurement category of each transaction if you have it.
For the avoidance of doubt, I am making this request under the Freedom of Information Act. I await your response within 20 working days.
We answered
Our ref: FOI-0463-1819/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 May 2018 asking for information about TfL’s spend data.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
As you are aware the spend data currently published is up to, and including Period 9. We anticipate that Period 10 and 11 data will be published by the end of May 2018. More recent data will be published in due course, usually with a 4-6 month delay.
As we are intending to publish this information, we are not obliged to supply you with spend data as it is subject to a statutory exemption to the right of access to information, under Section 22 of the Act. In this instance the exemption has been applied as the information you have requested is intended for future publication.
This exemption is subject to a public interest test, which requires us to assess whether the public interest in applying the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure. In this instance, it is considered that the public interest favours the publication of this information, in context and according to the pre-determined schedule, rather than in response to your request, to ensure the information is provided accurately and in an accessible manner.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
