TfL has an 80% mode share for PT and active modes by 2040.
What is the calculation method and what trips are counted, for example are trips across the GLA boundary counted. Are components of journeys which is a mix of car as part of a wider rail commute included as a PT journey?

The Mayor’s Transport Strategy aims for 80 per cent of all trips in London to be made by active, efficient and sustainable modes. This mode share is based on estimated daily average number of trips by main mode of travel and uses an average across the seven day week. It includes trips travelling to, from and within the Greater London Authority. Table 2.1 in the latest Travel in London report 11 gives the current estimate for each mode along with additional notes on the definition (http://content.tfl.gov.uk/travel-in-london-report-11.pdf). The mode share estimate is based on the proportion of all trips carried out by Rail, Underground/DLR, Bus (including tram), Cycle and Walk and was 62.7 per cent in 2017.
