We answered

Our Ref:         FOI-0455-2122

Thank you for your request received on 4 June 2021 asking for information about traffic volumes near the Hammersmith Gyratory.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked for:

Please find attached the SCOOT (Split Cycle Offset Optimisation Technique) detector flow data for the approaches outlined in your request that we hold. This data includes outputs from ASTRID which records SCOOT information in real time and aggregates it for future retrieval. The information provided is the average long term trend for SCOOT flow since 2019. Historic SCOOT data is used to provide an idea of gradual changes in traffic patterns and demand at SCOOT controlled junctions. It is to be as a guide when making decisions for the operation of the junction. The data provided clearly highlights the effects of the pandemic and how the network has recovered as restrictions have been relaxed.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please feel free to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
