Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 May 2024 asking for information about the CSA1 salary.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please can I be informed of how CSA2 staff are promoted to CSA1 and how long you would need to be employed as a CSA2 staff before being promoted to this role as well as what is required for this promotion/nomination.
CSA2 staff who are medically fit to carry out CSA1 duties may promote by nominating a CSA1 role and waiting for an appropriate vacancy to arise in the nominated area. There is no fixed timeline for when promotion may occur but it is generally not before the individual has passed probation which is a minimum of 6 months. The actual length of time it takes to acquire a promotion will depend on factors such as on the availability of CSA1 vacancies and how widely an individual nominates.
Can I also be informed of the new CSA1 and Licensing Administrator salary after the new financial year has begun.
CSA1 salary is £42,091.00 and Licensing Administrator is £25,600pa.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
