Dear FOI,
I physically witnessed the planting of the trees on the A12 so I don't understand the response below.

In reference to ‘emails regarding the new tree planting of approximately
31st March 2022 on the A12 Road’, we do not hold this information because
there were no new trees planted within the first year of the contract,
which commenced on 1 April 2021.

These trees are already stressed and losing foliage which may may be due to lack of watering.
Were they planted as part of a TFL contract irrespective of contract date?

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for the following:

We would like to clarify that the new trees in question were planted as part of a TfL wide planting scheme; they will be maintained and replaced if there are failures during the next three years.
