Follow-up to 0137-2223: It has been noted that as of the rainfall on 20/05/22 the pooling surface water has returned to this location, despite remedial works having been undertaken. Please see tweet - https://twitter.com/FieldsHighbury/status/1527639339999674370 The cause of this most recent flooding is that the drain grates specified are too fine a guage for the amount of foot traffic this area receives and thus they become clogged. It is noted that the drain grates were not replaced as part of the remedial works. Please see tweet - https://twitter.com/josephkazUK/status/1527662653862301698 Can TfL confirm that drain grates their contractor specified for this site are not fit for purpose? Can TfL confirm their contractor will now be replacing the affected drain grates?

Can TfL confirm their contractor will now be replacing the affected drain grates?

We can advise remedial works in this vicinity have recently been completed and are to standard. These works enable the dispersal of water between the two drain runs and have increased the below ground capacity so that water is distributed throughout the tree pits.
