Could you please provide references/links to the research/investigations on which the following statements in the ULEZ May 2022. Consultation Brochure are based.

i)  'If we do not act now, 550,000+ Londoners will develop diseases 44% attributable to toxic
air in the next 30 years.'

ii) ' The estimated cumulative cost of air pollution alone to the NHS and social care by 2050 is  £ 10.4 billion.'

Both figures are referenced from the report ‘Modelling the long-term health impacts of changing exposure to NO2 and PM2.5 in London’ published in February 2020. A link to the report and associated data is at https://www.london.gov.uk/WHAT-WE-DO/environment/environment-publications/modelling-long-term-health-impacts-air-pollution-london

iii)  '82% of vehicles in outer London are already ULEZ compliant.'

This figure is sourced from the Expanded Ultra Low Emissions Zone – First Month Report https://www.london.gov.uk/WHAT-WE-DO/environment/environment-publications/expanded-ultra-low-emission-zone-first-month-report

Also from Page 8 'Benefits for outer London' what are the anticipated relative contributions of ULEZ vs. LEZ changes to the anticipated reduction in emissions?

The benefits for outer London reports on the modelling for the ULEZ expansion to Greater London. Therefore the contributions are made by the changes to ULEZ.

The statistics on page 8 of the consultation brochure ‘benefits for outer London’ represent our initial assessment of the impacts of the proposed London-wide ULEZ. This assessment was further refined and is updated in our consultation information document. We have clarified this on the brochure/webpage.

Do the numbers shown indicate the mid point or upper value of expected change?

The numbers shown are based on our central case compliance forecast modelling.

For robustness, we have also modelled a hybrid scenario to account for uncertainty, of which details provided in Appendix B of the document ‘Our proposals to help improve air quality, tackle the climate emergency, and reduce congestion by expanding the ULEZ London-wide and other measures’ found on our project website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/15619/widgets/44946/documents/27070
