We answered
TfL Ref: 0433-1920
Thank you for your email received by us on 11 May 2019 asking for information about annual profits of franchised bus services.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. You asked:

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested as Transport for London (TfL) does not hold records of bus operators’ profitability against their working capital.
TfL’s responsibility is to competitively tender bus routes and obtain best value from our contracting system on behalf of the public purse. In this instance you may wish to contact either Company’s House for details of corporate accounts or the bus operators directly for further information via the following links:
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/companies-house

Please note that as private companies, bus operators are not obliged to respond under Freedom of Information Act legislation.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
