Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 05 May 2024 asking for information about the Piccadilly line.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. 

I can confirm that we do hold some the information you require. You asked:

What current information does TfL hold on the dates for the expected closure of the Piccadilly Line in 2024 and 2025 related to the introduction of new trains and associated infrastructure works?  

There are no plans or discussions in place for the extended closure of the whole Piccadilly line for this year or next year.

Our closure planning process means that closures are agreed and approved approximately six months before a closure takes place. We routinely publish this information on our website at planned-track-closures.pdf (tfl.gov.uk) and it is usually updated every Friday, therefore in accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copies of the requested information if it is already accessible to you elsewhere. Beyond this six month period of published information nothing further has been definitively finalised.
