TfL Ref: FOI-0424-2223 Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 May 2022, asking for information about TfL’s worker deaths from Coronavirus. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked: Question 1: https://www.london.gov.uk/questions/2020/1663 - as of 29 June 2020, this website stated a total of 44 colleagues from Transport for London (TfL) and its partner organisations, had passed away in service due to covid-19 related illness. Can you confirm this statistic is correct, if not please provide this information.
The revised number of TfL colleagues and its partner organisations who sadly passed away in service due to Covid-19 related illness as of the 29 June 2020 was 45 and not 44 as stated. This was due to a delay in one death being reported to us by the deceased colleague’s employer.
