Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 9 June 2020 asking for information about the consultation outcome to the proposed new bus route 456.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Further to your consultation outcome to the proposed new bus route 456 please can you provide;

1) The mathematical basis which supports your assertion found at;https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/route-456/ that of 513 responses the majority felt the bus would improve their journeys. A majority would presumably be a number greater than 257. Having read through the full consultation outcome I have not found a number greater than 257 in support of the route.

This is based on the questions set out at 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 in the report where a majority of respondents indicated that the 456 would improve their journeys against those who indicated that their journeys would worsen or remain the same.

2) it is stated that you are looking to extend the hours of operation to 20:00 hours. Please confirm when this decision was taken and on what basis.

This is still being assessed and no final decision made yet.

3) It is understood from page 6 of this document https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/route-456/user_uploads/route-456-consultation-report.pdf a further test of the route was conducted on the 26th February 2020. Please provide any photos, CCTV, GPS tracking records, log books, or similar held of this test for the Farm Road section of the route.

The route test notes from February are attached. TfL doesn’t hold any photos, CCTV, GPS tracking records or log book for the route test in February. The route test notes are the official record of the route test.
