Request ID: FOI-0353-2021 Date published: 29 September 2020
You asked
Can i have a i bus announcement?
Please use all available space in the bus, do not stand or sit near to the driver, keep away from the doors, and stay 2 meters away from other people at all times. Thank you. The bus has reached its safe limit, for everyone’s safety, the driver has been instructed not to continue if there are too many people on board. To respect social distancing, all customers must be seated. For everyone’s safety, no standing is allowed anywhere on the bus.
We answered
Thank you for your email of 4th June 2020 asking for a copy of iBus announcements.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. However, your request is being refused under section 14 of the Freedom of Information Act for the same reasons as explianed below in our response of 5th May 2020 in connection with case ref FOI-0134-2021. At the current time we consider that answering this request would represent a disproportionate effort and would require the redirection of limited specialist resources and the attention of staff away from their core functions who could be supporting other essential activity. Due to the ongoing alternative working arrangements aligned with the Government’s measures to tackle the coronavirus, the FOI Case Management Team do not currently have access to the necessary hardware required to create CDs of audio announcements in response to FOI requests and we are unable to process such requests remotely.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells
