Thank you for your request received on 11 May 2018 asking for information about the number of taxis and private hire vehicles (PHVs) entering the Congestion Charge Zone.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:

If costs permit the same figures for taxis and PHVs entering the congestion zone outside charging hours (if recorded)

The following tables contain the daily average number of taxi and private hire vehicles detected in the Congestion Charge Zone for each month between 1 October 2017 and 30 April 2018.

The tables also contain the number of taxis and private hire vehicles that entered the charging zone at least once in each month between from 1 October 2017 to 30 April 2018.

We do not hold information for taxi and private hire vehicles outside of the charging hours.
