Could you tell me the number of buses in the fleet of London Bus as of 2 May 2023, 2 May 2022, 2 May 2021 and 2 May 2020 in tabular form. Please exclude any buses that are used for training purposes

Thank you for your request which we received on 2 May 2023, asking for information about TfL’s bus fleet.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

We hold data for 31st March of each year.

The total number of buses in the fleet were as follows:

31st March 2023          =          8,643
31st March 2022          =          8,795
31st March 2021          =          9,068
31st March 2020          =          9,102
