Our ref: FOI-0315-2425/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26 April 2024 asking for information about withdrawing the 497 bus and replacing it with the 346.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

There were no savings as a result of the Route 346 and 497 restructure. Total annual mileage on the new route 346 is almost 200,000 miles higher than the previous two separate routes.
