You asked
I am currently studying Production Arts for Screen and I am currently doing a research and design project for Set Design.
I am researching into the 1970s in Britain, focusing on Camper vans and Caravans, and I thought it would be wise to contact you first to see what you have at your amazing museum archives or point me in the direction of research as with these current times I am unable to visit!

Our ref: FOI-0301-2021
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 1 June 2020 asking for information about camper vans and caravans.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require. The London Transport Museum is currently closed, so I am unable to check with them, but as their collection contains only items relating to public transport it is very unlikely they will hold anything relating to camper vans or caravans.
I have also checked with our Corporate Archives and they have confirmed they do not hold any relevant information, but they have suggested the following may be able to assist you:
The National Motoring Archives https://nationalmotormuseum.org.uk/collections/motoring-archives/
Camping and Caravanning Club Archives https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/a?_ref=2547
I am sorry we are unable to assist you on this occasion.
Please note, the Government has announced a series of measures to tackle the coronavirus. It is essential for London, that we continue to provide a safe transport network for essential journeys.
In current circumstances, we are not able to answer FOI requests readily and we ask that you please do not make a request to us at present.
Answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. In any event, please note that our response time will be affected by the current situation.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
