Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. You asked:
How many taxi drivers have applied for a TfL reconsideration hearing within the last 12 months, and how many taxi drivers have been successful at a reconsideration hearing within this period?
In the past twelve months we have held 85 taxi driver reconsideration hearings, the table below contains the outcomes of those hearings.

Please note that ‘withdrawn’ means the individual has decided to withdraw from the process. This is usually for one of the following two reasons, (1) the appellant and TfL have reached an agreement or (2) it has been decided to accept the original decision and withdraw from the process. Please be aware that we do not record the reasons for withdrawal in our records as this is not always known.
Where the outcome is recorded as ‘dismissed’ it has been decided not to alter the original licensing decision.
‘Allowed’ means that the original licensing decision has been waived following representations put forward at a reconsideration.
Finally, where ‘varied’ is recorded as an outcome this means replaced the original decision has been replaced with a new appealable decision. For example a revocation decision has been changed to a suspension or the length of a suspension has been altered.
