Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29^th April 2019 asking for correspondence about the ticket machine at Honor Oak Park station.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

“Removal of Ticket Machine at Honor Oak Park: A ticket machine next to the ticket office window was removed some months ago awaiting for the imminent arrival of its replacement. This new machine has not arrived. Please send the correspondence regarding the reasons for the non installation and the current technical issues delaying the installation.”

TfL does not hold the requested information. Honor Oak Park station is managed by London Overground, which is operated under contract by Arriva Rail London on behalf of TfL. Arriva Rail London is a private company, distinct from TfL, and operational matters such as the replacement of ticket machines fall under its jurisdiction. Correspondence between staff about the reasons for the delay in installing a new machine will be between Arriva Rail staff and will be held on Arriva’s IT systems. I understand that the reason for the delay is due to a floor structural issue.
