Request ID: FOI-0260-2122 Date published: 27 May 2021
You asked
I understand that Schweerbau GmbH is the current contractor for supply and operation of the grinding machines.
However, I would like to know what other contractors are currently working with/along them, providing any support works/activities or any works directly/indirectly related to the Grinding.
Please provide all details for the other contractors as well.
Who are these supportive/additional contractors?
What type of services are provided by each of them?
Have they tendered for the works and when?
Are there any contracts awarded without tender?
What are the award and expiry dates of their contracts? If extended, what is the expiry date for each contract extension?
What is the contract value band for each contract?

Thank you again for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 May 2021.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked:
Who are these supportive/additional contractors? 1stInRail Ltd and Engie Ltd.
What type of services are provided by each of them? 1stInRail Ltd provides specialist data appertaining to conditions caused by the machines i.e. fumes, dust, fire protection. 1stInRail Ltd also provides labour for preparation, during and after support. Engie Ltd oversees the extraction fans based around our network to be opened allowing fumes to vent to air.
Have they tendered for the works and when? The works are provided under a previously tendered framework. The exact requirement is split, so the specialist works were direct awarded based on the technical requirements. The non-specialist element was direct awarded to consolidate to one supplier and provide an efficient route to market i.e. only 1 PO, 1 Invoice and 1 supplier arrangement. The specialist vent supplier is also a call-off to an existing framework that was tendered.
Are there any contracts awarded without tender? All suppliers were direct awarded within a previously tendered framework.
What are the award and expiry dates of their contracts? The current resource is contracted until 31 March 2022.
What is the contract value band for each contract? This resource is £485k per annum.
