I would love to have the announcements that are played in the London Underground trains. I would love to have the ‘S Stock’ announcements for the metropolitan line the most but I would like as many lines as possible please. These will be for personal use only and will not be shared with anyone else. I am a massive fan of the London Underground, and I love travelling on it.

We are usually able to provide on-train announcements for the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. However, the Piccadilly line announcements are supplied as PCC files which may need specialist software to play them.

We are not able to provide the announcements for other lines, including the Metropolitan line, as the recordings were provided to London Underground under a signed contracts which contained explicit conditions concerning disclosure and distribution.

At this time, however, due to alternative working arrangements aligned with the Government’s measures to tackle the coronavirus, the FOI Case Management Team do not currently have access to the necessary hardware required to create CDs of audio announcements in response to FOI requests. We are therefore currently unable to provide you with the announcements which are usually available.

When we have returned to normal office based working we will be happy to provide you with the announcements which are available.
