Dear Transport for London, Under the Freedom Of Information Act 2000 i would like to know what was the date that TFL decided on the 24/05/2022 Crossrail opening day. I know that TFL announced the 24/05/2022 Crossrail opening day to the public yesterday (04/05/2022) but i wish to know the date the TFL decided on this opening date. I look forward to hearing from you with this information.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 5 May 2022 asking for information about the Crossrail opening date.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked: Under the Freedom Of Information Act 2000 I would like to know what was the date that TFL decided on the 24/05/2022 Crossrail opening day. I know that TFL announced the 24/05/2022 Crossrail opening day to the public yesterday (04/05/2022) but I wish to know the date the TFL decided on this opening date.

Following the final assurances needed from his senior team and project partners, the Commissioner concluded in the afternoon of Tuesday 3 May that the Elizabeth line would be ready to open on Tuesday 24 May.
