Companies who collaborated on the design and creation of tfl.gov.uk

The Transport for London (TfL) core website, which sits on the domain tfl.gov.uk was redeveloped between Autumn 2012 and Spring 2014, launching in Beta in 2013 and live in March 2014.
The main work was carried out by:
• The in-house TfL Online team
• BAE Systems Applied Intelligence (Design and build)
• We Are Experience (Experience design)
• CDS (Content management)
Annual costs for tfl.gov.uk maintenance and improvements

Costs for the website itself are part of wider costs for the delivery of open data and associated web and data platforms. These costs for ongoing development of web, open data and associated platforms was approximately £4m in 2016/17.

Expenditure for the running of TfL Online was approximately £11m in 2016/17, inclusive of all staff costs, service and operations, product management, experience design, analytics, data partnerships, platform and hosting costs, licensing, security managed services, journey planner, editorial services, engagement and social media.

I can advise that these services are used by 82% of Londoners to discover, plan, pay and travel on the London transport network.
