Thank you for your request which we received on 21 April 2023, asking for a signed copy of the Armed Forces Covenant along with any documents held relating to its drafting prior to singing.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm TfL holds some of the information you require.
A copy of the covenant that was signed in 2016 is publicly available via this website;
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
Our retention period for information is seven years and those involved in the original signing of the covenant are no longer in TfL, therefore to the best of our knowledge we don’t hold any other documents relating to the original drafting and signing.
