Thank you for your letter which we received on 9 April 2019 asking for information about a junction at Mile End Road E3.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:
- The exact date the No Right turn, applied from Mile end Road E3 going towards Stratford into Burdett Road E14 restriction were implemented
The prohibited right turn on Mile End Road into Burdett Road came into force on 9 February 2015.
- How many vehicles (Cars, Motor Bikes, Vans & Trucks) since June 2018 to date were issued with fines at this exact location by your CCTV cameras for making the right turn from Mille end Road into Burdett Road.
No Penalty Charge Notices have been issued at this junction since 1 June 2018.
- On the photograph provided can you please confirm the exact date that the ‘No Right Turn warning sign was actually installed on the traffic light turning left into Grove Road.
The warning signs on Mile End Road into Grove Road came into force on 9 February 2015.
- When 2 ‘No right turn circle warning signs were installed on the traffic lights on both sides of Burdett Road turning left onto Mile end.
The signage on Mile End Road into Burdett Road was installed on 9 February 2015.
- All information i.e. photo’s & authentic documents relating to an advance warning sign installation in December 2015 and a signal ‘mounted banned movement’ and details of the 2 week warning notice period from inception.
Unfortunately, from the description provided, we are unable to identify the information you require. Can you please clarify which site the two weeks warning period relate to, for example Mile End Road / Grove Road or Mile End Road / Burdett Road?
