Thank you for your email received by us on 23 April 2019 asking for information about Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs).

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

Quantity of PCNs issued from Rotherhithe Tunnel weight Restrictions

information regarding the quantity of PCN's issued since the Rotherhithe Tunnel has been closed to vehicles to a Gross Max weight of more than 2 tonnes (ie since 21/09/18).

I can advise that as of 29 April 2019, we have issued 40,723 PCNs to drivers whose vehicles exceeded the width and weight restrictions in the Rotherhithe Tunnel since they were introduced.
