Could you give me the following information in regard to your Transport Support and Enforcement officers They come under the CPOS area of business.
1.How many officers have been recruited ( both internally and externally) into this post since their inception in 2020?
2.What is their current number, including those currently in training in class.
3. How many have left for the following reasons ( break-down):
Dismissed
Required to resign
Resigned
Transferred to other positions within TfL
Retired
Retired on medical grounds

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19th April 2023 asking for information about TSE officers within CPOS.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Could you give me the following information in regard to your Transport Support and Enforcement officers They come under the CPOS area of business.
1.How many officers have been recruited ( both internally and externally) into this post since their inception in 2020?
2.What is their current number, including those currently in training in class.
3. How many have left for the following reasons ( break-down):
Dismissed Required to resign Resigned Transferred to other positions within TfL Retired Retired on medical grounds”.
Note that there is no such position or job title as “Transport Support and Enforcement officers” within CPOS, or anywhere else in TfL. However, our central HR reporting system does have roles recorded under the area “Transport Support and Enforcement”, with several different job titles: Operations Manager;Assistant Operations Manager; and Operations Officer. We assume it is the Operations Officer role that your request relates to. On this basis, answers to your questions are given below:
Question 1.How many officers have been recruited (both internally and externally) into this post since their inception in 2020?
Answer: 184
Question 2.What is their current number, including those currently in training in class?
Answer: 115
Question 3. How many have left for the following reasons ( break-down):
Answers:
Dismissed (including Medical Termination / Unsatisfactory probation) = 6
Required to resign = 0
Resigned = 21
Transferred to other positions within TfL = 61
Retired = 0
Retired on medical grounds = 0
