Request ID: FOI-0202-2122 Date published: 21 May 2021
You asked
In September 2020 in order to support a ‘green’ restart of local travel and help mitigate reduced public transport capacity, the Department for Transport (DfT) decided to fast track trials of rental e-scooters.
In response to this initiative in November 2020 TfL requested expressions of interest from organisations wishing to participate in the Electric Scooter (E-Scooter) Rental Trial in London. The expression of Interest window closed on 14th of December 2020.
I would like to know:
1. How many organisations responded?
2. Were any were selected to participate?
3. If so, how many?
4. The trading names of the successful organisations.
5. If any of the successful organisations have started leasing or hiring operations?
6. In which Boroughs they operate?
