We answered
Our ref: FOI-0194-2324 Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18 April 2023 asking for information about the service on the district line Richmond branch.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked: I would like to know on how many days in the last year there has been signal failure, or an interrupted service on the district line Richmond branch.
Please see attached a document showing the percentage of service operated for the Richmond branch of the District line for the last year as requested.
The Richmond branch is an important part of the District line, and we aim to provide a regular, timetabled service across the day for our customers. To do this, we work hard with our partners in Network Rail who own and maintain the branch and signal our trains south of Gunnersbury. We also share the tracks with trains from the London Overground service. Where an asset failure occurs, we co-ordinate activity to fix the problem as quickly as possible to get the service back up and running.
It is worth noting that the vast majority of the poor performance days were related to industrial action or planned engineering work.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
