In order to benchmark our project H&S statistics and performance we kindly request the following data for both the total Crossrail project and for C305 JV:
• Incident frequency rate (all reported incidents per 100,000 hours worked) ;
• Lost Time injury frequency rate and
• RIDDOR Accidents frequency rate (per 100,000 hours worked)

Thank you for your request received on 15 April 2019 asking for health and safety statistical information.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.
The Crossrail project has invested significantly in health and safety training. All sites have clear policies regarding health and safety and there are daily start of shift site and point of work briefings. Crossrail has held a number of stand down events at sites across the whole project. More information regarding Crossrail’s commitment to health and safety can be found on their website:

You asked for:
• Incident frequency rate (all reported incidents per 100,000 hours worked)
We do not hold information on the incident frequency for all reported incidents per 100,000 hours worked.
• Lost Time injury frequency rate
At the end of the financial year (2018/19) the programme rate was 0.13.
• RIDDOR Accidents frequency rate (per 100,000 hours worked)
At the end of the financial year (2018/19) the programme rate was 0.08.
We do not hold information that specifically relates to the frequency rates on C305.
