TfL recently cascaded (to relevant stakeholders) details of a 'high level review' of the Knowledge of London Examination process they administer on behalf of prospective Taxi drivers. This review would have taken place around April to July 2022.
This review may have been carried out internally by the Strategic Problem Solving(SPS) department.
To be clear- The report was a review of the Knowledge of London Exam system and suggestions regarding it's future delivery. This department falls under the responsibility of Graham Robinson who I understand is GM of Taxi and PH dept.
This FOI request would require sight of final internal document and any Executive Summary which may exist. I understand details of the report were cascaded to the Taxi trade and should therefore be freely available to members of the public and stakeholders alike.

Our Ref: FOI-0181-2324/GH Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17 April 2023 asking for information about the Knowledge of London exam system. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
In accordance with the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply the information you have requested as it is subject to a statutory exemption to the right of access to information, under Section 22 of the Act.
The Knowledge of London Review will be published once any changes to the process have been announced.
This exemption is subject to a public interest test, which requires us to assess whether the public interest in applying the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure. In this instance, it is considered that the public interest favours the publication of this information, in context and according to the pre-determined schedule, rather than in response to your request, to ensure the information is provided accurately and in an accessible manner.
