Dear TfL
In the following forum, alternative options for Silver Street Station have been discussed as a variation to the designs that you kindly sent me, 11 December 2017:
http://districtdave.proboards.com/thread/28096/west-anglia-inners-station-improvements?page=6
The thread states that an alternative design has been produced with a single gate-line of 1 wide and 5 normal gates. I believe this is a sensible cost saving exercise that will reduce capital and revenue costs. When asked, it is stated that drawings are not in the public domain.
I seek a follow up FOI to obtain these amended designs. My prime interest is to discover whether TfL have provided or made provision for step free access in light of the station being walking distance from North Middlesex Hospital. I note that various stakeholders are encouraging Enfield Council to apply for Access for All funding for the station. I note that the plans sent to me in 2017 made no provision for step free access. I would be satisfied at this stage with passive provision for lifts.
