Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 April 2022.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked:
1. How much money you spent repairing potholes in the financial year 2021/22.
Our budget for pot hole repairs is included in our overall core maintenance service which is paid as a full lump sum to our 3 Works for London contractors so we are unable to provide specific data to substantiate monies that have been spent on pot holes specifically. In 2021-22 we spent £14.4 million on defect repairs across the highways network, this includes carriageway, pavements, street furniture and many other safety defects within the red route highway boundary.
2. Have you made any use of a JCB PotholePro vehicle for your repairs or do you have plans to do so?
We have no plans to use a JCB PotholePro vehicle for our pothole repairs.
3. If you have made use of a JCB PotholePro vehicle, or have plans to do so, please advise what savings (if any) have been achieved, or you expect to achieve.
