You asked

Hi, There are some Scania OmniCity double decker's which are coming out of London and used on some routes which feel very narrow. i've been on one or two that have come out of London just with the rear doors removed. Those seats don't feel usual width and I have concerns about disability access for someone who's visually impaired but also wheelchair and buggies as the wheelchair bay looks a little small.. I've decided where possible, I won't use that model as it's too uncomfortable. As I do think TFL really must not require on new contracts as they aren't user friendly nod questions about disabled access. Also, I will share with some disability access groups which discus these matters.

TfL Ref: FOI-0165-2223

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22nd April 2022 asking for a copy of the Scania OmniCity Vehicle Accessibility report.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

Scania OmniCity Vehicle Accessibility report: There are some Scania OmniCity double decker's which are coming out of London and used on some routes which feel very narrow. i've been on one or two that have come out of London just with the rear doors removed. TfL does not hold an “accessibility report” for these vehicles. However, note that the vehicles meet all the requirements of the Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations. Note also that I have passed your comments over to our Buses team so that they are aware of your feedback.

More general information about accessible travel on the TfL network can be found on our website here:

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
