Hello, please can you advise me of your policy regarding refusing entry onto buses? Particularly in relation to those under 18, females and during evening hours? Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

The safety and security of Londoners is one of our top priorities, so all London bus drivers are advised not to leave anyone stranded if they are vulnerable or obviously in danger.

Most of our staff information can be found within the Big Red Book issued to all drivers and other bus staff.

The information you have requested is found on page 101 of the current (2014) edition, as attached.
