You asked
Dear FOI team, I'm a bus enthusiast who has already asked for iBus announcements from you before. Recently I've taken the 533 service to Mortlake and noticed all the announcements for 5xx routes were not included in the shared online folder. May I ask you to kindly complement these files into the folder, which would be greatly appreciated (507, 521, 533, 549).
We answered
TfL Ref: 0162-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 April 2022 asking for information about our iBus announcements for routes 507, 521, 533, 549.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. We have now added those recordings into the announcements folder that you should still be able to access. Should you encounter any difficulty with this please contact [email protected].
More generally, we do endeavour to keep the announcements folder as up to date as possible. As and when new recordings are made we will add them to the folder - this is done as frequently as possible and on an ad hoc basis at present, taking into account when our resources allow for this, and in order to balance other business needs. We are however exploring other ways of periodically updating the folder with any new announcements.
iBus It should be noted that the iBus announcements are recorded as fragments. As a result, some announcements would not feature in full as the full announcement would just be made up of two or more fragments that have already been recorded. The way the announcements are recorded means that we cannot provide them for specific routes as requested.
Please note that access to this material will be provided to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you are not granted any rights to any of the intellectual property that exists in it or granted any permission to make secondary uses of it.
