You asked for: the current policy of buggies on tfl buses. In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere. Bay size varies across buses. While there is a minimum bay size, some operators procure vehicles with even bigger bays and this can allow two or more buggies to be carried under normal circumstances. As we are still following Government requirements on social distancing, there will be instances where passengers cannot be in the same space and this may affect numbers of buggies permitted on board. Outside of the pandemic, we are trying to make the bay as spacious as bus design allows, and this approach has seen increases in the dimensions of wheelchair bays and enabled more unfolded pushchairs to be carried overall on the network.
