I want to know when and how The National Highways contacted TFL concerning the planned road closure of the M4 Jct 3 to 4a or b over the weekend 8th to 11th April 2022?

Thank you for your request received on 10 April 2022 asking for information about the planned road closure of the M4.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.
We have an entry in our records timed at 11:55 on 09/04/22 indicating that the live area desk took a call from National Highways informing them of the works and asking for VMS (Variable Messaging System) signs to be set. The caller stated that they had called the previous day in relation to the works. However, we are unable to confirm this from our records.
