Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12 April 2018 asking for information about the costs of the 'buggy summit' that was held by TfL on 18th February 2016.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked: This is a request to find out the complete costs of the 'buggy summit' that was held by Tfl on 18th February 2016. The total we paid for the buggy summit was £2,080. The financial cost of the summit was relatively inexpensive but the learnings from it were immense for all attendees. These included buggy manufacturers, retailers and parenting groups who had not appreciated the extent of the issue between buggy users and wheelchair users. We were the first, and still possibly the only, transport provider to have initiated such a discussion about public transport friendly buggies. It also led to us developing a partnership with Mothercare who distributed leaflets to expectant parents at its 31 London stores to raise awareness of smaller buggies three times a year, and provide helpful travel advice.
If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.
