We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-0112-2425

Thank you for your request which we received on 10 April 2024, asking for information about TfL’s CCTV cameras.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  Unfortunately, we don’t hold the information you require.

We do not run a CCTV camera system for ULEZ.  TfL maintains a network of cameras using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to enforce the Congestion Charge, the Low Emission Scheme, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and the Direct Vision Standard. Section 4(4) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 does not have any relevance to the operation of this ANPR camera network.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
