TfL Twitter Account Has Denied Me Access To A Public Service

You asked

I administer an account on Twitter that has been blocked from following or viewing TfL's Twitter account. When trying to access TfL's Twitter account this is the message that greets us; You are blocked from following @TfL and viewing @TfL's Tweets. The account in question is @CoventGDNTube I would like to find out why this account has been barred from accessing a public service? The account has not made any inflammatory comments or taken any action that is in breach any of UK laws. I hereby request any information regarding the deliberation and decision to block @CoventGDNTube from following @TfL on Twitter.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  You asked:

I would like to find out why this account has been barred from accessing a public service? The account has not made any inflammatory comments or taken any action that is in breach any of UK laws. We do not generally block accounts unless they go against our Social Media Policy, are abusive or spam.  The account, @CoventGDNTube was blocked by accident and has since been unblocked.
