I am writing to make a Freedom of Information request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, for information regarding the IT infrastructure and data storage systems used by your organisation. Please provide the following details:
1. What data storage vendors do you currently use for your primary storage?
2. How large in Terabytes is your primary storage? (>50TB, 50-200TB, 200-500TB, 500-1PB, 1PB

Our Ref: FOI-0088-2425 Thank you for your request received on 9 April 2024 asking for information about the data storage and IT infrastructure for Crossrail2. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
Crossrail 2, whilst being a team within Transport for London (TfL), was not established as a separate Limited company.
The funding agreement with Government of 31 October 2020 includes a commitment in relation to Crossrail 2 that TfL “prioritises safeguarding activity and brings an orderly end to consultancy work as soon as possible. The Department for Transport (DfT) will support such safeguarding activity for this project as required”. Other than continuing to safeguard the scheme the Crossrail 2 Integrated Project Team has been disbanded and the safeguarding of the project is undertaken within the wider TfL Transport, Strategy, & Planning (TSP) remit. Crossrail2 is now part of the TSP team and has no physical assets of its own. As a result there is no data storage or IT infrastructure that the project manages or are specific to Crossrail 2.
