Thank you for your email received by us on 10 April 2017 asking for information on statistics about accidents caused by rooftop digital adverts.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. You asked:
I would like to consult you if there are accidents that have occurred due to the use of taxi top roof digital in your country. If there are statistics or any study about it.
We do not record accident statistics or conduct studies into accidents that have occurred due to the use of digital displays on taxi roofs. Please visit the following link for our published policy on taxi top advertising: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/taxi-top-vehicle-specific-approval-policy.pdf
Please contact the Department for Transport as they would be better placed to answer your request for country wide statistics. They can be contacted via their website: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-transport.
Please accept our apologies that we are unable to assist you further on this occasion.
