Our ref: FOI-0057-2324/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 April 2023 asking for correspondence between officers at TfL and the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association (LTDA) concerning taxi tariff review 2023.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require. You asked for:
Correspondence between officers at TfL and the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association (LTDA) concerning taxi tariff review 2023
The 2023 taxi tariff review has not happened yet, and therefore we do not hold any correspondence concerning this. We therefore assume you meant the taxi tariff review 2022 (that took effect in 2023). We have carried out an email search, and the only emails between TfL and the LTDA on this topic are attached.
Please note that in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation some personal data has been removed, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
