Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4th April 2024 asking for information about the operating area for Private Hire Vehicle drivers. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I kindly request where uber driver can work with PCO license and do they allow to take a job out side TFL Zone . Please provide a map.”
This information is covered in the PHV Driver Handbook, which states (page 16):
As a London licensed PHV driver, in a London licensed PHV, you may carry out a private hire booking (accepted by a licensed London PHV operator) where the pick-up point and/or the destination for the journey is outside Greater London as long as the booking has been accepted by a licensed London PHV operator.
If you have any doubts about whether the journey is legal or not, you should ask your operator.
As such, there is no “map” we can provide.
